Press Release

At its meeting held today in its registered offices, the Board of Directors of Mediolanum S.p.A. resolved to sell its shares in the companies, established under Irish law, Vicenza Life and Vicenza Funds to the Banca Popolare di Vicenza Group.
Mediolanum owns 40% of each of the two companies, and the rest are held by BPV.
The transfer of the two share packages will take place against a countervalue 32.5 billion lire (16.78 million euros).
The withdrawal of the participation of Mediolanum comes at the request of BPV, in the context of a reorganisation of BPV's holdings, and in the light of the reduced strategic interest accorded the initiative by Mediolanum.
